Provenance

Description of the wood

• Sapwood: Light yellowish grey.
• Heartwood: Grayish-brown to yellowish.
• Fiber: Straight, very often with the fiber slightly intertwined.
• Grain: Thin to medium.

Impregnation

• Sapwood: Moderately impregnable
• Heartwood: Little or nothing impregnable

Mechanization

• Sawing: No problems, except for possible irritation of dust.
• Drying: Medium to fast speed. Small risks of deformations and fendas.
• Planning: No problems except the repell that produces the pieces with the interlaced fiber and the one indicated with the dust.
• Gluing: Risks of spots with alkaline tails.
• Nailing and screwing: Risks of hienda. Pre-drills are recommended.
• Finish: No difficulties.

Applications

• Furniture and fine interior ebantsterí­a. Turned furniture.
• Interior carpentry, doors, cladding, mouldings, skirting boards, friezes, parquet.
• Decorative plates.

- It has very marked veins of dark color and even the fatty vein that is a flna stripe and black.
