• Sawing: No problems other than its hardness.
• Drying: Relatively slow. Low risk of warping and cracking.
• Planing: Easy. Risk of warping in pieces with interlocked grain.
• Gluing: No problems.
• Nailing and screwing: Due to its hardness, pre-drilling is recommended.
• Finishing: Gum deposits may locally inhibit varnish adhesion.
