• Heartwood: Light brown
• Grain: Straight, sometimes slightly wavy

• Heartwood: Poorly impregnable

• Sawing: Easy
• Drying: Slow, but easy to do; cracks or warping are infrequent

• Nailing and screwing: No problems

Applications
• Interior and semi-exterior joinery and cladding: Doors, windows, flooring, wainscoting, moldings.
• Structural joinery.
