• Sapwood: light yellow
color • Heartwood: pink color and light tobacco when you age
• Fiber: straight although it can present irregularities if there are a large number of knots.
• Fine grain

Impregnation

• considered imputrescible and unassailable by insects and fungi.

Mechanization

• Sawing difficult due to the presence of knots and irregularity of the logs
• Gluing: without problems
• Nailing and screwing: requires previous drilling to avoid the cracking of the wood.
• Finish: no problems
