Mechanization
• Sawing: Easy, except where there is excess resin. Hard knots, sometimes loose.
• Drying: Fast, with a risk of splitting.
• Planing: Easy, except where resin can clog the planer.
• Gluing: Good, except where resin is present.
• Nailing and screwing: Prone to splitting; pre-drilling is necessary. Resistant to pull-out.
• Finishing: No problems except where resin is present.
